About me

I am an endocrinologist, and what I care most about is that patients leave understanding their own condition. Clinical rigour matters, but so does having the time to explain what a diagnosis actually means — which is why appointments here are not ten minutes long.

Close to half my practice is thyroid: hypothyroidism, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, Graves' disease and, above all, nodules. It is the area I trained in at the Hospital Clínico San Carlos in Madrid and at Emory University, and the one I continue to see in its most complex form at Arzobispo Loayza National Hospital.

Getting your peace of mind back starts with understanding your own body. What I aim to give you here is the clarity and the time to heal in balance — with science, and with empathy.

Thyroid: the whole evaluation in a single appointment

Thyroid nodule assessment brings together your medical history, lab results and indicated studies. I perform thyroid ultrasound and fine-needle aspiration at the practice by prior arrangement. When booking, mention the study you need so availability and instructions can be confirmed.

• Thyroid ultrasound by prior arrangement

  Thyroid ultrasound requires prior arrangements with the practice. Images are interpreted alongside your lab results and symptoms. Confirm availability and preparation instructions when booking.

• Fine-needle aspiration biopsy

  When medically indicated, fine-needle aspiration is scheduled by prior arrangement with the practice. Confirm instructions and availability before attending; it is not automatically performed at every consultation.

• Thyroid-specific training

  Thyroid fellowships at Hospital Clínico San Carlos in Madrid and at Emory University in the United States, alongside sustained experience with the complex cases referred to Arzobispo Loayza National Hospital.
