If you're outside Peru, read this first
I am licensed in Peru, and I issue Peruvian prescriptions. In most countries — including the US, Canada, the UK and across the EU — a Peruvian prescription cannot be dispensed at a local pharmacy.
That does not make the consultation pointless, but it does change what it is for. What travels across borders is the clinical reasoning: a written report setting out the diagnosis, the evidence behind it, the doses and the monitoring plan, in a form your own doctor can act on. For a second opinion, or for making sense of results nobody has explained, that is often exactly what was needed.
What it is not is a route to obtaining medication you cannot otherwise get. If that is what you are looking for, I would rather tell you now than take payment for an appointment that cannot deliver it.

Needs an in-person visit
- A first evaluation of a thyroid nodule — the neck needs examining
- Diabetic foot assessment
- Anything acute: severe symptoms need in-person care, locally and now
- A first consultation where physical examination will decide the diagnosis
If your case falls here, I will say so at first contact rather than charge for a consultation that cannot resolve it. In Lima, that means an appointment in San Borja.
Common questions
Can you prescribe for me if I'm not in Peru?
I issue Peruvian prescriptions, valid in Peru. Whether a foreign prescription can be dispensed where you live depends entirely on that country's rules, and in most of the US, Canada, the UK and the EU it cannot. What is genuinely portable is the clinical report: diagnosis, reasoning, doses and monitoring plan, written so your local doctor can act on it. For patients abroad, that is usually the realistic goal of the consultation, and I would rather say so before you book than after.
Is a video consultation as valid as an in-person one?
Within Peru, yes. Telemedicine is regulated here, and prescriptions and reports issued by video consultation carry the same validity as those from an in-person visit. They are signed and carry my medical board registration number.
What time zones can you accommodate?
The practice runs on Peru time (UTC−5, with no daylight saving, so the offset from Europe shifts twice a year and the offset from the US east coast holds steady for part of it). Appointments for patients abroad are arranged around that. Say where you are when you book and we will find a slot that is not the middle of your night.
What do I need for the consultation?
A stable connection, and your lab results in digital form — a photograph is fine. If you take medication, have the boxes to hand. Brand names differ between countries, so what matters is the active ingredient, and that is on the box.
I'm moving to Peru soon. Can we start before I arrive?
Yes, and it is a good use of a video consultation. We can go through your history and records in advance, work out which tests are worth repeating here, and have a plan ready for the week you land — rather than starting from zero once you have already run out of medication.
